Little Einsteins is an exciting, educational program created by Disney and Baby Einstein that combines animation, real-life photography, and famous music and artwork with instantly likeable characters who have a passion for music and adventure. In this DVD prelude to the Playhouse Disney series (premier October 2005), Leo, June, Quincy, Annie, and Rocket set out to help a little caterpillar find the musical tree of many colors so that it can become a beautiful butterfly. The journey proves complex, but the ever-cheerful group uses their musical knowledge, careful listening skills, and ingenuity to ensure success. Beethoven's famous Ninth Symphony is featured extensively throughout the 61-minute program and viewers ages 3 to 7 are encouraged to sing and clap along as they learn about rhythm, melody, musical terms and careful listening skills. Viewers also delve, quite literally, into the artwork of masters that include Van Gogh and Monet, visit American cities and wildernesses, and get a first-hand look at the amazing butterfly migration down the East Coast of the United States to Mexico. Any DVD that can have your child humming Classical Music and talking about Metamorphosis has got to be Good!! What a wonderful DVD! After seeing the previews on another Disney DVD it had my curiosity piqued!! And also the curiosity if my 2 and 4 year olds!! Disney and Baby Einstein have made a wonderful collaboration of Classical Music, World Reknowned Artists, Beautiful 'Real' Photography, and Most of All Fun!! They have truly made Education exciting and Fun!! Both My children absolutely Love It!!! Hurray to Learning!!

I bought this DVD for my daughter (age 4) and she adores it. She actually taught herself how to play "Ode to Joy" (with a little help) on her keyboard just by watching and listening. She not only knows about monarch butterflies and a little Beethoven now, but knows what allegro, adagio and crescendo mean (and I didn't!). I think this is an excellent series and I look forward to the future books and DVDs.

I watched this video with my son and it is wonderful. It is so educational and it has so many facts that he learned. My son it almost 3 and he knows what a new outfit for a butterfly is and how she gets it. I think this very educational and I would recommend it
