A Goober look at physic detectives August 26, 2002 B. Chandler (Arlington, Texas) The basic story is of the rivalry of a private physic detective agency verses the police chief. An important person is abducted and it is up to the psychic to locate the perpetrator(s). The psychic must be feed Goobers regularly to maintain his stability. And somebody is getting lottery tips on the side. There is no redeeming social value in this one. Forget looking for any deep meaning or great acting. This movie is just down right silly and contains just about every cliche in the physic detective book. Watch for fun and say "Stay in the car!!" or "Don't do that!!"
Second Sight March 9, 2002 lapointeslair (Auburn, NH United States) Wonderfully funny movie. I watch it over and over. Highly recommended to anyone who likes to laugh.
Language Fails For Describing How Bad This One Is September 8, 2001 J. Reynolds (Houston, TX United States) Words fail as a medium for describing how utterly terrible this film is. Do not waste a moment of your time here on Earth even contemplating viewing this movie. It is one of those rare cinematic efforts that merits not just zero stars, but a negative number of stars. Bronson Pinchot deserves to think about this film upon awakening each morning for the rest of his life, followed immediately by a quick hustle to the bathroom for the purpose of throwing up.
Stupid, But Really Funny. February 25, 2001 Bob Smith (Cleveland, OH) This movie has the worst direction and screenplay in history, and the only thing to do with this movie is enjoy it. It is very funny. The funny thing is that he has to eat Goobers to stay alive!
One of the worst movies ever! November 15, 1999 I rented this for $.99, and I am mad that I payed that much to see this horrible movie. John Larroquette, who was riding high in "Night Court" at the time, tries to bring that character and transform him into a private detective. Bronson Pinchot (Perfect Strangers) shows why he is one of the worst actors ever with his "performance" in this movie. The story was horrible, the jokes were horrible, everything about this movie was horrible. Why do movies like this get made?
